NON-U.S. CITIZENS


  1. Go to the TSA's Alien Flight Student Program (AFSP) website and register for an account.

  2. Complete the online application form, providing your personal information, including your name, address, and contact information.

    1. Contact the TSA if you have an problems or questions
  3. Pay the non-refundable fee associated with the application process.

  4. Provide your fingerprints and undergo a criminal background check.

  5. Wait for the TSA to complete the security threat assessment.

  6. Once the TSA approves your application, you will receive a TSA clearance certificate.

  7. Your TSA clearance certificate is valid for two years from the date of issuance.

Please note that all paperwork must be completed before you are able to solo. Delay in completing the paperwork will result in a delay in solo flight. We recommend completing the paperwork before practicing landings with your instructor.
